Job summary

About the Role

The Residential Counselor in Hamilton, NJ plays a crucial role in providing support and guidance to individuals in a residential care setting. This position is focused on fostering a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the emotional and psychological well-being of residents. The counselor will work closely with clients to develop personalized care plans that address their unique needs and goals. By facilitating daily activities and therapeutic interventions, the Residential Counselor helps residents build essential life skills and achieve greater independence. Ultimately, the major end result of this role is to empower individuals to lead fulfilling lives while receiving the necessary support for their mental health and personal development.

Available shifts are

• Sunday to Thursday 4 PM- 10 PM
• Sunday 10 PM- 8 AM (Overnight)
• Friday to Saturday 4 PM-10 PM

Combination of these shifts can be included for a part-time schedule.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in a healthcare or social services setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a residential counseling role.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid.
