Job summary

Education First, EF Academy Pasadena, seeks a University Counseling Coordinator to support academic and student life programs. You will coordinate UAC operations, manage communications, and supervise students in and out of class. This role partners with Residential Life, Academics, and campus teams to deliver a cohesive student experience.

The position is full-time, 12 months, with a 40-hour workweek and weekend coverage as needed. Salary ranges from $47,000 to $50,000, paid across 12 months.

Qualifications

• Experience in a residential setting preferred.
• 2+ years working with adolescents in educational/residential settings.
• Desire to support youth well-being and development.
• Commitment to positive impact in boarding school environments.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to administer policies fairly and consistently.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Travel/cross-cultural experience is a plus.
• Willingness to work outside standard hours (early mornings, evenings, weekends).
• Motivated, flexible team player for community benefit.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a visible point of contact for students, providing guidance and problem-solving.
• Build relationships with students through daily interactions and support.
• Support student attendance and participation in programs and events.
• Coordinate substitute teacher scheduling and front desk operations.
• Assist with academic records and counseling activities.
• Schedule college visits and support college planning programming.
• Communicate with families and internal teams to keep everyone informed.
• Represent UAC at events and contribute to a positive EF Academy community.
• Supervise students outside academic day to promote safety and engagement.
