Job summary

EF Academy in Pasadena seeks a University Counseling Coordinator to support planning, organization, and execution of the UAC program across the academic year. You will coordinate logistics such as transportation, events, and supplier payments while managing communications for students, families, and staff.

You will work with Marketing Cloud, Salesforce, and Maialearning to keep all stakeholders informed. The role requires leadership to empower faculty and staff and ensure a positive boarding

Qualifications

• Experience in a residential setting strongly preferred.
• 2+ years of experience working with adolescents in an educational, residential or care-taking setting.
• Desire to work with young people to support their well-being, growth and development.
• Commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of adolescents and willingness to embrace the opportunities of the boarding school environment.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills including attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure, and in a timely manner.
• Ability to administer policies fairly and consistently.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with diverse constituencies including students, faculty, administrators, and parents.
• Significant foreign travel or cross-cultural experiences a plus;
• Ability and desire to work during hours when students are not in class, including early mornings, evenings and weekends;
• Be a motivated and flexible team player that is ready to work towards the good of the community.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a visible, approachable point of contact for students, providing day-to-day support, guidance, and problem-solving.
• Build meaningful relationships with students by engaging in daily interactions, celebrating achievements, and supporting them through challenges.
• Support student attendance and participation in UAC, academic, and extracurricular programs.
• Support with substitute teacher coordination and scheduling.
• Assist with front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for students, families, and visitors.
• Schedule and oversee college representative visits to EF Academy.
• Desire to learn about the college admissions landscape and trends to guide and support students and families.
• Represent the University & Academic Counseling office at school events and contribute to a positive EF Academy community.
