Job summary

Homestead Building Supply, part of US LBM Holdings, seeks a Construction Manager to lead project contracts across residential builds in Maryland and surrounding areas. You will direct field teams, review blueprints, manage PMs, and ensure safety, quality, and profitability across the department.

You will partner with location and sales managers to nurture customer relationships in the Builders network, develop procedures, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Solid math and computer skills; effective communication.
• Thorough knowledge of residential construction and OSHA safety.
• Ability to read financial statements and plan/schedule effectively.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all construction activities to maximize efficiency and profit.
• Develop and maintain consistent construction practices and field execution.
• Track productivity data using production plans.
• Develop field systems for quality, safety, and accuracy.
• Manage performance and development of project managers and conduct reviews.
• Provide trainings and mentorship to direct reports.
• Build relationships with customers in the Builders network and promote the organization.
• Lead meetings to resolve issues and implement new procedures with leadership.
