Job summary

Homestead Building Solutions, a division of US LBM Holdings, LLC, seeks a Construction Manager to oversee contract administration and field operations across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. You will direct construction activities to maximize efficiency and profits, while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will lead project managers, develop consistent field practices, track productivity, and mentor staff, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and strong customer relationships

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of management experience in construction projects.
• 4–6 years of experience as a Project Manager.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong leadership, organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all construction activities to obtain optimum efficiency and profits.
• Develop and maintain consistent, efficient construction practices; communicate and execute such practices in the field.
• Track productivity data utilizing the production plans.
• Develop field systems to assure consistency, quality, safety, accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage performance and development of the project managers.
• Conduct quarterly performance reviews.
• Provide technical and managerial training and mentoring for all direct reports.
• Develop strong relationships with customers in the Builders network and promote the organization in the industry.
• Initiate meetings with subordinates and customers regarding issues and new plans with leadership.
• Assist in overview of company business units to develop improvements.
• Approve all Lead Carpenter and Foremen hires.
