Job summary

Valor Communities is seeking motivated students for a paid Builder Intern role across multiple markets (Huntsville, AL; Birmingham, AL; South Atlanta, GA; Florida Panhandle / PCB). You will work on active jobsites with Valor Builders, learning the complete new-home construction cycle from field to completion.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong interest in residential construction and homebuilding.
• Willingness to learn and spend significant time in the field.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and proactive.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and follow through on tasks.
• Communicate well with employees, trade partners, and vendors.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside experienced Builders throughout various stages of new-home construction
• Participate in jobsite walks and monitor construction progress
• Learn how construction schedules are developed, maintained, and adjusted
• Gain exposure to coordinating trade partners, vendors, and field teams
• Observe municipal inspections and quality-control processes
• Assist with monitoring jobsite cleanliness, safety, and readiness
• Learn how materials are ordered, delivered, inspected, and utilized
• Help identify construction items requiring attention and follow them through completion
• Gain an understanding of Valor's construction standards and home completion process
• Develop communication, organization, time-management, and problem-solving skills
