Job summary

DSLD Homes is seeking an Assistant Superintendent (Full-Time) to manage multiple residential construction projects in the Huntsville, AL area. You will work Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

with some schedule variability, coordinating with trades, homeowners, and the field team to deliver high-quality homes. Ideal candidates have strong customer service, knowledge of residential construction, and a relevant degree. Travel within the assigned area and a valid license are required.

Qualifications

• Customer service background and positive attitude are required.
• Knowledge of residential construction and industry experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and transportation; travel within assigned area may be required.
• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree required.
• Physical stamina for standing, bending, climbing, and lifting.
• Residency in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, or Texas required.

Responsibilities

• Develop literacy in building codes, construction terminology, standards, and DSLD Homes Field Guide Specs.
• Assist the superintendent in daily operations of building homes in high-volume neighborhoods.
• Work on punch lists.
• Coordinate with trades and homeowners for post-closing punch items.
• Assist Customer Care Technicians with warranty work when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with trades and suppliers.
• Check spec homes.
• Maintain cleanliness of jobsites.
