Schaeffer Homes seeks an experienced Director of Construction to lead our residential projects in Southern New Jersey. You will oversee a team of Project Managers, trades, and contractors, ensuring projects meet schedules, budgets, and safety standards with a focus on client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in residential construction management, a proven delivery track record, and strong leadership and communication skills to foster client and stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of residential construction management experience.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in construction management software (POs, COs, scheduling).

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all aspects of construction projects.
• Oversee Project Managers, skilled tradespeople, and contractors.
• Ensure work is completed to high-quality standards within timelines and budgets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers and trades.
• Provide regular updates on progress, financials and issues to senior management.
