Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking staff to maximize residents’ success and safety in residential settings. You will facilitate ADL skill-building, supervise daily medications, and support community integration through structured activities and collaborative learning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification may be required or obtained.
• First aid training required or obtainable during employment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential.
• Must be flexible with work schedules including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and handle crises calmly and professionally.
• Ability to complete clinical and administrative documentation accurately.
• Valid chauffeur’s license and ability to transport clients when needed.

Responsibilities

• Available to cover shifts at any residential program as assigned.
• Supervise daily medication routines and teach ADL skills for community integration.
• Provide opportunities for skills practice and collaborative learning.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and review treatment plans.
• Coordinate and monitor treatment services for assigned clients per the plan.
• Monitor care outcomes and adjust as needed.
• Perform household duties including cleaning and meal preparation during shifts.
• Attend supervision and team meetings and stay updated on agency policies.
• Work first and second shifts, including holidays and weekends.
• Ensure safety of office areas and living programs and monitor resident whereabouts.
• Schedule and facilitate treatment plan meetings using assessment data and records.
• Screen for substance use and assist with indicated treatment planning and referrals.
• May perform additional duties as assigned; may work two consecutive shifts if required.
