Job summary

Brown University Health in Smithfield, Rhode Island, seeks a resilient residential support professional to maximize residents’ success and ensure a safe, therapeutic environment. You will support ADL skills, supervise medication routines, and participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning with families and staff.

You will work first and second shifts, including holidays and weekends, and must maintain CPR/first aid certification while transporting clients if needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Flexibility to work weekends/holidays.
  • Ability to perform routine household chores including lifting.
  • Strong communication with clients and staff (in person and by phone).
  • CPR certification and first aid training required.
  • Valid driver’s license; able to transport clients as needed.
  • Ability to read/understand instructions and complete records.

Responsibilities

  • Available to cover shifts at residential programs.
  • Facilitate ADL skills and supervise daily medication routines.
  • Develop and monitor client treatment plans with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide, coordinate and monitor treatment services for assigned clients.
  • Schedule and facilitate treatment plan meetings; document assessments and plans.
  • Maintain safety and security of facilities and respond to crises.
  • Keep updated on agency policies and procedures.
