Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity is seeking a Full Time Carpenter to join our Construction team in Punta Gorda, Florida. You will perform skilled carpentry tasks, including framing, roofing, finish work, and cabinet installation, while guiding volunteers and coordinating with project leaders.

The role requires reading blueprints, adhering to building codes and safety regulations, and maintaining high workmanship.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Residential carpentry including framing, roofing and finish work.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Knowledge of building codes and OSHA regulations.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled carpentry work including rough and finish carpentry.
• Execute framing, roofing, flooring, trim work, cabinet installation, and doors/windows.
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to complete work.
• Measure, cut, shape and install structural woodwork as specified.
• Supervise and engage volunteers to support project goals.
• Ensure all work complies with codes and Habitat standards.
• Provide safety orientation and training to volunteers.
