Job summary

Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia is seeking a full-time on-site Carpenter to perform home construction, rehab, and owner-occupied repairs. You will work with HFHP staff, subcontractors, and volunteers to meet project schedules and safety standards.

Requires at least 3 years in residential carpentry, OSHA 30 or willingness to obtain, and a valid driver's license. The role includes coordinating with Project Managers and leading volunteers while maintaining quality throughout projects.

Qualifications

• Considerable knowledge of residential carpentry and construction; minimum of 3 years of related professional experience.
• Ability to perform a range of residential construction tasks, from framing to finishes; strong planning and communication.
• Familiarity with local building codes; commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Ability to work with diverse communities and volunteers; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform home construction tasks including rough framing, window/door installs, finishes, and drywall.
• Plan, organize, and execute work orders; independently manage tasks.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Lead Carpenters on materials, workflow, and volunteers.
• Uphold safety standards (HFHP/OSHA/EPA/BPI) on all sites and maintain tools.
