Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of current auto insurance.
• Experience working in a residential behavioral health setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily routines and monitor safety.
• Provide opportunities for recreation and education.
• Complete required daily documentation including shift reports and staff notes.
• Manage intake/discharge paperwork and client handbooks.
• Assume medication duty in the absence of a nurse and maintain self-administration records.
• Monitor client presence and safety; perform withdrawal checks as directed.
• Maintain unit supply inventory and client orientation folders.
• Supervise visitations and client telephone privileges; implement safety procedures.
• Lead meals and ensure snacks are distributed as required.
• Report incidents and complete event reporting timely.
• Complete shift reports and note any client concerns.
• Ensure client drug screens and room searches are completed as required.
• Oversee daily chores and cleaning; prepare rooms after discharge.
• Follow activities calendar; support therapy homework and assist clinicians.
• Participate in client staffing; liaison for referral needs.
• Provide transportation as needed; encourage community group involvement.

Education
