Job summary

Venture Community Services seeks a Direct Support Professional to provide daily care, supervision and safety for individuals with developmental disabilities in residential and community settings. You will follow ISP/behavior plans and support overnight awake coverage, with compensation on an hourly basis.

Responsibilities include health monitoring, emergency response, personal care, meal planning, transportation and advocacy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21+ years old with a valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift and assist individuals as needed.
• Willing to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor individuals for health and safety.
• Safely evacuate residents during fire or disaster.
• Assist with transfers and personal care as needed.
• Educate and monitor self-medication programs.
• Assist with meal preparation, finances, and shopping.
• Provide transportation to appointments and worship.
