Job summary

Vista Care is hiring a Direct Support Professional for Day Services. You will work with the Day Services team to support individuals toward their goals, ensuring safety and dignity. The role includes driving responsibilities and daily living support in a residential/day program setting.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid drivers license, and the ability to pass a background check. Training is provided within the first 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in human services or customer service preferred.
• Prior residential services exposure is advantageous.
• Clear background check per regulations and Vista Cares practices.
• Must demonstrate basic computer literacy and documentation skills.
• Certification and training required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities and personal cares.
• Provide direct support and transportation as required by the program.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment and assist with meal prep.
• Report incidents to the Day Services Supervisor promptly.
• Document daily activities, charts, logs and plans for individuals served.
• Adhere to Vista Care policies, procedures and rights of the individuals served.
• Engage individuals in activities and encourage community participation.
• Communicate professionally with families and coordinate with supervisors.
