Comanche Nation CRYS - LAWTON, OK seeks a Part-Time Youth Care worker to provide confidential direct care and supervision to youth ages 0-18 who are abused, neglected, and deprived. The role requires a High School Diploma/GED, CPR/First Aid readiness, and ability to travel up to 25%.

Shifts are rotating 3:00pm-11:00pm and 11:00pm-7:00am with weekend help; 29 hours weekly. Reporting to the Program Director with no supervisory duties.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid training completed or able to complete.
• Medication administration training required.
• Managing aggressive behaviors training required.
• High School Diploma or GED with 30 college hours or 1 year of child-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care and supervision to youth ages 0-18 who are abused or neglected.
• Direct residents in day-to-day activities and support personal goal development.
• Inspect living quarters for health and safety compliance.
• Participate with residents in cultural events and community activities.

CLOSING DATE: September 30, 2026

Part-Time: 29 Hours Weekly

Work Schedule: 3:00pm-11:00pm & 11:00pm-7:00am shifts/weekend help

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides confidential direct care and supervision to youth ages 0-18 who are abused, neglected, and deprived, including paraprofessional guidance, intervention in behaviors, documentation of day-to-day behaviors, events, and activities, and maintains a professional, child-friendly presence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides instruction to residents by directing their day-to-day activities.
• Helps residents develop and achieve personal goals and life skills.
• Inspects living quarters to ensure health and safety standards.
• Participates with residents in cultural events and other community activities.
• Observes, records, and reports health symptoms, behaviors, and activities of residents.
• Transports residents to and from medical appointments and school activities.
• Other duties as assigned by the Program Director.

REPORTS TO:

Will report directly to the Program Director and will not have supervisory responsibilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to participate with residents in all activities (i.e., walk long distances, stand for long periods, lift, stoop, bend, squat, or physically exert themself in any other way regularly. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Professional and Confidential.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED, and completion of 30 semester hours from an accredited college or university; or must have a minimum of one year of experience working with children.
• Must be able to complete all training requirements for sole supervision of residents, including but not limited to CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration, and Managing Aggressive Behaviors.
• Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License and insurable under the Comanche Nation’s Motor Vehicle Policy.
• Must pass State & Federal background investigation.
• Must submit and pass all drug testing.
• Must be able to perform any job-related travel.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
