Job summary

5 Star Cares is seeking two House Managers to lead CNAs and residential staff in our Tampa-area group homes. The role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, emphasizing dignity, independence, and quality of life.

Two full-time openings include supervising staff, coordinating daily services, and maintaining compliant records. On-call duties and collaboration with clinical teams are required. Competitive schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with fill-ins as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current, valid CNA certification required.
• Minimum two years of supervisory/leadership experience, at least one year in a group home.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to maintain electronic records.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening requirement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily group home operations, ensuring a safe, clean, organized, welcoming environment.
• Supervise CNAs and residential staff, promoting teamwork and professionalism.
• Monitor staff attendance, performance, and policy compliance.
• Coordinate daily services and ensure person-centered resident support.
• Maintain resident and staff files accurately and up-to-date.
• Schedule and conduct staff trainings and in-services.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and new-hire paperwork.
