Job summary

Easterseals New York in Rochester seeks a Residential Manager to oversee two residences for students with developmental disabilities, coordinating care plans and supervising staff. You will ensure safety, quality, and compliance while supporting residents in school and community activities.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Services, 4+ years in residential settings, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field is required.
• Experience with individuals with IDD in residential settings (4+ years) is preferred.
• Willingness to work with challenging behaviors including aggression or inappropriate comments.
• Administrative and supervisory experience is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and a valid driver's license are required.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and evaluating residential programs and staff.
• Developing and monitoring individual treatment plans.
• Promoting resident participation in community activities.
• Providing direct care to meet personal needs when necessary.
• Participating in conferences and team meetings as requested.
• Maintaining relationships with therapeutic consultants.
• Implementing and monitoring program budgets.
• Ensuring compliance with licensing, policies, and contracts.
• Providing emergency on-call services when needed.
