Job summary

The Emily Program in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support residential and inpatient care. The role focuses on facilitating therapeutic groups, helping clients develop eating-disorder coping skills, and maintaining a recovery-oriented environment.

The schedule is full-time 0.8 FTE (32 hours/week), 3rd shift from 10pm to 6:30am, with rotating weekends and holidays. Starting pay ranges from $18 to $22 per hour, with final compensation based on qualifications and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree or higher or 2 years healthcare experience in a similar position/related field preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, or related field; certification or licensure preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive.

Responsibilities

• Partners with the multi-disciplinary team on care plan and treatment, assisting in admissions, supporting or assisting clients in programming.
• Participates in therapeutic meals and snacks and provides support during structured outings and recreation.
• Available to engage, challenge, and support residents as needed. Reports observations and documents in charts.
• Monitors and supports bathroom use per client treatment direction. Monitors and documents exercise.
• Responsible for enforcing appropriate policies with residents and completing all expected tasks including hourly room-checks.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Associate degree or higher or 2 years healthcare experience in a similar position/related field

Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, or related field

Valid driver's license
