Job summary

House of Hope Inc. in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for the 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM shift. You will help maintain a safe, structured, therapeutic environment for clients on the recovery journey.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and strong communication skills. Prior BHT experience and care for substance-use populations are a plus. This is a mission-driven, nonprofit workplace that values teamwork and growth.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain Safety: Monitor client behavior and activities during shifts.
• Support Clinical Teams: Report health, safety, or behavioral concerns to clinical staff.
• Empower Clients: Assist and train clients with daily living skills and personal hygiene.
• Provide Care: Offer positive reinforcement and emotional support for clients in recovery.
• Collaborate Daily: Adapt to changing facility needs and other BHT duties.
