Job summary

Lifeskills Behavioral Health in Deerfield Beach, FL is seeking Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT) to support clients in a residential setting. The role focuses on maintaining safety, documenting client records, and ensuring a structured milieu throughout shifts.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, conducting screenings and tests as needed, and coordinating with the clinical team to apply interventions. A valid Florida driver’s license and CPR/First Aid are required.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalent required; drug and alcohol certification preferred or willingness to complete requirements within orientation.
• Requires 2+ years’ experience working with clients with substance use and/or mental health issues.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification, or willingness to complete within the first 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Client safety at all times; monitor and record Client behavior during the shift.
• Transport and/or direct Clients to appointments; provide a structured living experience.
• Adhere to policies and procedures related to Client care; document services and incidents.
• Collaborate with clinical team to determine interventions and facilitate client education groups.
• Promote therapeutic environment; manage crisis situations and apply DBT techniques.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and overall daily operations of the residence.
