Lifeskills Behavioral Health in Deerfield Beach, FL, seeks a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to support clients in a residential setting, maintain a therapeutic milieu, and ensure safety during shifts.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, 2+ years’ experience with substance use or mental health clients, valid Florida driver’s license, CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness), and ability to use DBT techniques. We offer comprehensive benefits and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years’ experience with clients who have substance use or mental health issues.
• Current Florida Driver’s License.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Maintain client safety and monitor behavior during shifts.
• Provide structured living environment in residence.
• Promote therapeutic milieu and engage clients in activities.
• Assist with medication compliance and self-administration.
• Document in accordance with policies and incident reports.
• Transport clients to appointments.
• Greet guests and provide customer service.
• Recognize triggers and use de-escalation techniques.
