Optimum Performance Institute (OPI) invites you to join our Woodland Hills, CA team as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT). You will supervise residents, perform wellness and safety checks, respond to needs, and document care for the treatment team in a supportive residential setting.

The ideal candidate has experience in mental health or residential treatment, is dependable, observant, and comfortable working with a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; eligible for company-paid auto insurance.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field preferred.
• Two years of experience in residential treatment, mental health, behavioral health, or a related setting preferred.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays, as scheduled.

Responsabilités

• Build trusting relationships with residents, mentorship and guidance to foster personal growth, emotional regulation, and independence.
• Complete scheduled wellness and safety checks while monitoring resident behavior and well-being.
• Respond to resident needs, behavioral concerns, and crisis situations per procedures.
• Maintain a safe, calm, structured residential environment during the shift.
• Complete accurate shift notes, observation logs, and incident documentation.
• Communicate resident updates and concerns to the treatment team and incoming staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow policies, safety standards, and privacy requirements.

Formation

High school diploma or equivalent

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field (preferred)
