Job summary

Embark Behavioral Health in Woodland Hills, CA is seeking an on-site Behavioral Health Technician to support residential youth services during evening and weekend shifts. You will supervise residents, complete wellness checks, respond to needs, and document observations for the treatment team.

Ideal candidates have prior mental health or residential treatment experience, maintain a calm, professional demeanor, and collaborate with a dynamic team to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (eligible for company-paid insurance).
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field.
• Two years of experience in residential treatment or related behavioral health setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with residents and provide mentorship to foster growth and independence.
• Complete scheduled wellness and safety checks, monitoring resident behavior and well-being.
• Respond to resident needs and crisis situations following established procedures.
• Maintain a safe, calm, and structured residential environment during shifts.
• Prepare accurate shift notes, observation logs, and incident documentation promptly.
• Communicate resident updates to the treatment team and incoming staff.

Location: 21051 Warner Center Ln, STE 105 Woodland Hills, CA 91367 (On-site)

Schedule: Thursday & Friday: 3:00pm - 11:30pm, Saturday 9:00am - 11:30pm

Hourly Pay: $21.00 Per Hour

Join OPI as an Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) and help create a safe, stable, and supportive environment for young adults receiving residential behavioral health services. Based in Woodland Hills, California, you will provide supervision, complete wellness and safety checks, respond to resident needs, and maintain accurate documentation for the treatment team.

This position is ideal for someone with experience in mental health or residential treatment who is dependable, observant, and comfortable working with a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with residents, offering mentorship and guidance to foster personal growth, emotional regulation, and independence.
• Complete scheduled wellness and safety checks while monitoring resident behavior and well-being.
• Respond to resident needs, behavioral concerns, and crisis situations in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain a safe, calm, and structured residential environment throughout the shift.
• Complete accurate and timely shift notes, observation logs, and incident documentation.
• Communicate relevant resident updates and concerns to the treatment team and incoming staff.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and follow OPI policies, safety standards, and privacy requirements.

Qualifications

• Required: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record eligible for company-paid auto insurancethat meets company insurance requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field preferred.
• Two years of experience in residential treatment, mental health, behavioral health, or a related setting preferred.
