Job summary

OPI in Woodland Hills, CA is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support young adults in residential services. You will supervise residents, perform wellness and safety checks, respond to needs, and document care for the treatment team.

Schedule includes Thursday, Friday 3:00pm–11:30pm and Saturday 9:00am–11:30pm, with on-site work at 21051 Warner Center Ln, Woodland Hills, CA 91367. The role offers $21/hour and benefits as described.

Qualifications

• Required: valid driver’s license and clean driving record eligible for company-paid auto insurance that meets company insurance requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field preferred.
• Two years of experience in residential treatment, mental health, behavioral health, or a related setting preferred.
• Ability to remain attentive, exercise sound judgment, and respond appropriately to overnight resident needs.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays, as scheduled.

• Build trusting relationships with residents, offering mentorship and guidance to foster personal growth, emotional regulation, and independence.
• Complete scheduled wellness and safety checks while monitoring resident behavior and well-being.
• Respond to resident needs, behavioral concerns, and crisis situations in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain a safe, calm, and structured residential environment throughout the shift.
• Complete accurate and timely shift notes, observation logs, and incident documentation.
• Communicate relevant resident updates and concerns to the treatment team and incoming staff.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and follow OPI policies, safety standards, and privacy requirements.

Hourly Pay: $21.00 Per Hour

Join OPI as an Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) and help create a safe, stable, and supportive environment for young adults receiving residential behavioral health services. Based in Woodland Hills, California, you will provide supervision, complete wellness and safety checks, respond to resident needs, and maintain accurate documentation for the treatment team.

This position is ideal for someone with experience in mental health or residential treatment who is dependable, observant, and comfortable working with a dynamic team.
