Syra Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Attendant in Logansport, Indiana to support residents and ensure a secure, therapeutic environment. Responsibilities include assisting with treatment plans, supervising meals and activities, and teaching daily living skills to promote independence.

The role involves de-escalation, documentation, and collaboration with nursing and clinical staff to maintain safety and progress toward individualized goals.

• Ensure security of residents and maintain orderliness; may restrain unruly, dangerous residents.
• Escort residents to and from activity and therapy areas within building and off grounds, ensuring maximum security.
• Assist in the implementation of residents' treatment plans.
• Monitor residents during meals, classroom time, bathroom time, and in general areas.
• Observe, report, and record residents' condition and behavior.
• Demonstrate de-escalation, redirection, and approved techniques for preventing and managing behavior.
• Assist residents in cleaning and caring for living areas, clothing, and supplies.
• Secure doors, search visitors, operate radio, issue keys, and escort visitors within the unit.
• Conduct searches of patient rooms for contraband and ensure patient safety.
• Provide motivational techniques, counsel, teach, and demonstrate daily living skills per treatment plan.
• Assess clients' training needs to meet treatment plan objectives for transitional living.
• Advise clients regarding appropriate social behavior.
• Provide a safe environment conducive to learning, promoting self-esteem and self-sufficiency.
• Coordinate client activities under professional direction by adapting treatment plans to individual needs.
• Develop community living skills through daily living activities such as shopping and using public transit.
• Manage clients' money and distribute it to support treatment programs.
