Job summary

Riverbend's residential behavioral health program seeks an Ancillary Art Therapist to provide structured art therapy sessions a couple of times per week, with potential for additional groups as needed.

The role requires a Master's in Art Therapy with supervised clinical experience; ATR-BC is preferred. You will plan sessions, document carefully, and collaborate with the treatment team in a safe, supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Art Therapy with graduate art therapy training.
• Education and supervised clinical experience in art therapy.
• Ability to practice within professional scope and credentials.
• Experience working with individuals with mental health conditions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate individual and group art therapy sessions.
• Use art making to support expression, coping and recovery.
• Develop clinically appropriate activities for varying functioning.
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to align goals.
• Observe participation and communicate concerns to the team.
• Complete documentation including attendance and notes.
• Maintain a safe, organized therapeutic environment and materials.
• Follow safety, confidentiality and boundaries guidelines.
• Participate in team communication when requested.
• Perform other duties as needed.
