Job summary

Homebound is seeking an experienced Architect/Architectural Project Manager to lead design across markets, coordinating external consultants and ensuring quality from pre-construction through permitting. This hybrid role requires strong leadership and a hands-on design sensibility for residential projects.

You’ll guide plan development, review Revit models, and collaborate with product, construction, procurement, and sales teams to align architectural deliverables with strategy.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of architectural experience in project architecture roles.
• Experience with single-family residential projects and permitting processes.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate external architectural partners through pre-construction, managing communication, reviewing deliverables, and providing markups to ensure alignment with Homebound standards.
• Review construction documents prior to agency submittal and support the permitting process, including responding to jurisdictional comments and coordinating revisions.
• Ensure schematic design intent carries through design development and construction documentation, maintaining alignment with Homebound standards and project budgets.
• Support the development and refinement of Homebound’s plan series, adapting layouts and architectural features to meet local zoning, site, and code requirements across markets.
• Provide design direction to external architects on exterior architecture, façade composition, and material selections, with a focus on strong residential design and cohesive architectural expression.
• Review and coordinate Revit models produced by external architects, ensuring compliance with Homebound modeling standards and documentation requirements.
• Partner with Product Development, Construction Operations, Procurement, and Sales teams to align architectural deliverables with construction and product strategy.
