Job summary

Crossroads Turning Points is seeking a Temporary Residential Aide in Pueblo, CO to support counseling staff and assist with alcohol- and drug-related services in a residential unit. The role requires reliable teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to follow directions.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, CPR/First-Aid training, and a valid driver’s license. CPR/First-Aid training and QMAP certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the unit in an organized, clean, and efficient manner.

• Report child abuse or neglect to supervisor when applicable.
• Monitor patient activities and document actions during shifts.
• Report patient infractions or concerns to the counselor or supervisor.

This role requires collaboration with the assigned unit as a team member to assist counseling staff in delivering a range of alcohol- and drug-related services by performing various duties.Please note that all applicants must undergo a pre-employment drug screening, which includes testing for marijuana, as well as a comprehensive background check and a TB test.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Assists in maintaining the unit in an organized, clean, and efficient manner.Transports patients to and from appointments, support groups, employment searches, and other related activities.Ensures the security of the assigned unit in accordance with CTP policies and procedures.Responsible for immediately reporting child abuse or neglect to the unit supervisor and area director when applicable.Monitors patients and their activities. Accurately documents the activities of each patient during the assigned shift.Responsible for reporting all patient infractions, concerns, or problems to the primary counselor or supervisor.Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneQUALIFICATIONS:Education:Requires a High School Diploma or GED.Experience:Must be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn the dynamics of substance misuse, alcohol, and its effects. Prefer prior experience working in a substance misuse setting or a human service agency.Others:Able to communicate effectively. Must be able to follow directions.CPR and First-Aid certification (the agency will cover all training and renewal fees).Valid driver's license and insurability.Basic computer skills required.A Qualified Medication Administration Person (QMAP) certification is preferred but not required.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
