Job summary

The Horizons Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill provides gender-specific perinatal and maternal treatment, including residential housing for mothers and children. The Residential Advisor assists with transportation, recovery support, medication monitoring, and life skills coaching to support families in recovery.

This is a 40-hour-per-week, temporary position located in North Carolina, with shifts available across 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
• Knowledge of or interest in gender-specific substance abuse treatment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Residential advisors provide transportation, recovery support, observed urine drug screens, observation of medication self-administration, and basic life skills support.
• All staff are responsible to ensure the safety of the women and children in our program by conducting rounds.
• Residential advisors are also responsible for ensuring that the apartments are ready for incoming patients, searching program participant belongings, conducting random apartment searches, and other duties as assigned by the Lead RA or the Program Manager.
