Job summary

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Residential Advisor for the OB-GYN Horizons Division's residential treatment programs for women with substance use disorders in Chapel Hill. The position involves 24/7 program operations, with supervision and ongoing training to support career growth, including NC Peer Support Credential development.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
• Knowledge of or interest in gender-specific substance abuse treatment
• Ability to ascend/descend stairs to complete rounds to check on patients. Ability to assist patients with moving in/out of the apartment.

Responsibilities

• Weekend (Thursday-Sunday) 2nd shift, provides structured and informal direct client service and supervision, documentation, and transport of residents in a state van.
• General upkeep of program facility and observing urine drug screens and medication administration.
• Provides structured childcare during meetings or appointments; receives clinical supervision and ongoing career development support.
