Job summary

Exeter Job Corps is seeking a Residential Advisor to lead and empower students in a dorm setting. You will mentor youths aged 16–24, fostering a safe, inclusive living space and guiding personal development.

Responsibilities include dorm activities, conflict resolution, and supporting retention while coordinating with staff. Requires 21+ and a HS diploma; onsite work in Exeter, RI with a competitive hourly salary.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older to apply.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required, A.S. or B.A. preferred for promotional opportunities
• A minimum of one year working with youths preferred
• A valid, relatively clean driver's license preferred
• Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to students to maintain a positive dormitory living environment.
• Host dorm activities/groups and assist in recreational activities on and off Center.
• Foster positive peer relationships and leadership role modeling techniques.
• Assist in student retention by creating an interactive, comfortable living environment that helps students achieve goals.
• Provide proactive conflict resolution and counsel students on behavior, training, personal hygiene, and study habits.
