Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Familiarity with Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon, and 12 Step programs is expected.
• Basic Life Support - CPR certification is required.
• Medication Aide: NE certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients and families and significant others.
• Residential unit coverage during evening, overnight, and weekend hours with shift-change reports.
• Supervise clients, move around the unit to locate all clients and ensure safety.
• Prepare admission packets, explain rights and procedures, and orient new clients.
• Take vital signs, monitor medications, supervise treatments, and ensure unit cleanliness.
• Assist counselors in evaluating substance use and document information for the team.
