Job summary

CHI Health St. Francis in Grand Island, NE seeks Chemical Dependency staff to cover the Residential Unit across day, evening, and overnight shifts. You will ensure a safe environment, monitor vital signs, document activities, and supervise medications and treatments.

You will maintain shift reports, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support adolescents, adults, and the elderly with their treatment plans.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; ability to take and record vital signs.
• Familiarity with Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon, and other 12 Step Recovery Programs.
• Basic Life Support - CPR required within hire.
• Medication Aide: NE certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage for Residential Unit during day, evening, and overnight shifts.
• Take client vital signs, monitor treatments, and supervise medications.
• Document client activities and prepare shift change reports for incoming staff.
• Maintain client safety, perform basic first aid as needed, and ensure adherence to protocols.
• Assist counselors in evaluating substance use and communicate findings to the team.
