Job summary

Campbell Street in Oakland is seeking an Activities Director to plan, develop, and direct the resident activity program in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines and the facility’s policies.

You will supervise the activities department, organize therapeutic activities, coordinate outings, maintain assessments and care plans, and help meet care plan objectives while promoting wellbeing and engagement for every resident.

Qualifications

• Certification and licensure as required by state and federal regulations.
• Associates degree preferred plus 3 years relevant experience or equivalent.
• Ability to plan, organize, and direct an activity program for residents.

Responsibilities

• Establishes an activity program wide variety for residents, enhancing wellness.
• Plans, implements, supervises, and supports all operations of the activities department.
• Directs and organizes therapeutic activities to meet care plan objectives.
• Maintains seven-day activity plans and ensures compliance with guidelines.
• Develops monthly activities that are seasonal and resident-appropriate.
• Organizes special outings and accompanies residents on outings.

Education

Associate degree preferred
