Job summary

Rocky Mountain Care is seeking a Transportation Driver to provide safe and reliable transport for residents to appointments. You will operate a large van, assist residents in and out of the vehicle, maintain daily vehicle cleanliness, and coordinate with the on-site team.

CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain is required, along with physical stamina and excellent customer service. This is a full-time role with possible overtime.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current valid state issued driver’s license.
• Maintain acceptable driving record.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds.
• CPR and First Aid Certified (or willing to attain upon hire).
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal and customer services skills.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, overhead lifting and other movements as needed.
• Ability to work beyond normal hours, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents safely and promptly to and from appointments.
• Provide friendly, compassionate, reliable transportation services.
• Drive a large van in a safe, courteous manner.
• Assist residents into wheelchairs or stretchers and in/out of the vehicle.
• Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of vehicles.
• Coordinate schedules with the in-office Transportation team.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks (lights, brakes, tires, wheelchair lift, seatbelts).
• Handle paperwork for appointments and deliver to the appropriate people.
• Assist Nursing Staff with transportation tasks as needed.
• Treat residents with dignity and respect; promote rights.
• Follow facility policies and complete required training.
