Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities in Missouri is seeking a Transportation Coordinator (Driver) to deliver a structured, reliable transportation program for residents. The role extends beyond driving to coordinating requests, scheduling, resident communication, and operational support.

You will drive community vehicles for medical, recreational, and personal trips, maintain vehicle readiness, and assist residents with mobility needs, while supporting events and ensuring safety and on-time return.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 21 years of age and have a minimum of 3 years of licensed driving experience.
• Valid state Driver’s License (Class E in Missouri) and Clean MVR.
• Ability to safely operate passenger vehicles, buses, and mobility lift systems while assisting residents with mobility needs.
• Previous experience with older adults, transportation, or coordination preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation services during scheduled work hours, including coverage of designated medical transportation days (Tuesday and Thursday).
• Safely operate community vehicles to provide medical, recreational, and personal transportation to residents.
• Enter and manage transportation requests in our digital transportation management system, ensuring schedules are accurate and aligned with community transportation guidelines and availability.
• Maintain vehicle readiness by completing routine inspections and ensuring vehicles are clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
• Support the Entertainment & Programming team with scheduled outings and events, including planning, logistics, resident participation, and adherence to safety protocols and return schedules.
• During non-driving hours, provide community support as needed, including programming, interdepartmental support, and other operational tasks, maintaining consistent productivity throughout scheduled work hours.
