Job summary

WeCare Centers in New Castle, PA is seeking a Transportation Aide to help move residents, staff and volunteers safely within the facility. You will drive the facility vehicle, report care information, and support transfers with wheels and equipment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited high school or GED.
• Valid, unencumbered state driver's license.
• 1-2 years transportation experience preferred.
• Previous long term care experience.
• Must have experience transporting and transferring residents with physical impairments using facility equipment.

Responsibilities

• Report all pertinent information concerning resident care as detected to appropriate personnel.
• Drive facility provided vehicle.
• Transport residents, staff and volunteers to desired destinations.
• Review daily rehabilitation schedule and be available as indicated.
• Provide minimal assist of residents transferring to and from wheelchairs.
• Ensures a safe environment.
