The GEO Group is seeking a full-time Transport Driver in California to safeguard residents during transport to appointments and activities, while adhering to facility procedures. The role emphasizes safety, accountability, and timely reporting of incidents.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record. Prior driving experience is preferred, with willingness to adhere to program rules and documentation requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year professional driving experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license from the state in which duties are performed.

Responsibilities

• Transports residents by Company van from facility to outside appointments.
• Maintains the safety and security of residents at all times while transporting them.
• Oversees all resident activities while boarding vehicle, transporting them to destinations and departing the vehicle.
• Performs scheduled resident headcounts and completes written count reports in a thorough and timely manner.
• Reports resident accidents or injuries to supervisor.
• Reports all resident behavioral problems in writing to supervisor.
• Enforces the rules of conduct with the residents.
