Job summary

Arcadia Care in Illinois seeks a Transportation Aide to coordinate and provide restorative nursing support while transporting residents to activities, appointments, and external visits. You will assist with boarding, securing mobility aids, and ensuring resident safety during travel, under the direction of the Nursing department and in collaboration with Rehabilitation staff.

The role requires a valid Illinois CNA certification, a state driver’s license, and the ability to communicate

Qualifications

• Must be a registered CNA by the State.
• Active Illinois Driver’s License required.
• Class C or Class E license depending on vehicle size.
• DOT compliant physical.
• Experience as a bus/van driver preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
• Ability to complete reports and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to activities, appointments and outings.
• Assist with boarding and securing mobility aids.
• Ensure resident safety during transport and while boarding/departing.
• Maintain and document vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Protect resident well-being and provide high quality customer service.
• Coordinate with Nursing and Rehab staff on care planning and progress.
