Job summary

Passages Malibu is hiring a Resident Support Technician in Malibu, CA. The role supports residents, helps manage daily routines, and ensures safety and compliance with the addiction program.

Eligible candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and a valid California driver license. The shift runs 3:00PM–11:30PM and requires at least one weekend day; local driving is expected.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelor's preferred.
• Must have a valid California driver license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Be primary contact for residents and ensure safety and program compliance.
• Assist with intake, calls, room changes, and passes.
• Monitor detoxification by checking residents at set intervals.
• Conduct bag searches and collect urine drug screens as directed.
• Ensure residents follow facility rules and guidelines.

We are seeking a Resident Support Technician to be the primary contact for residents, ensuring their safety and compliance with the program. This role is an excellent opportunity, particularly for individuals seeking healthcare experience.

Resident Support Technician

Location

In-Person, Malibu, California

Current Shift

3:00PM - 11:30PM (must be able to work at least one weekend day per week)

Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assisting in the intake process, handling incoming calls, room changes, and passes.
• Assisting residents with daily schedules and activities.
• Monitoring resident detoxification process by regularly checking on residents according to assigned intervals.
• Conducting bag searches, random searches, and collecting UDS (Urine Drug Screens) from residents as directed.
• Ensuring resident compliance with facility rules and guidelines.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
• Driver's License: Current, valid California Driver License with a good driving record (per company discretion)

Additional Qualifications

• Regular driving of company vehicles.
• Regular local travel among company locations.
• Must fulfill pre-employment conditions: tuberculosis screening (annually thereafter), background check (including criminal and driving record check), drug screening, and reference checks. Ongoing monitoring and screenings during employment in accordance with the law and company policy.
