Job summary

CooperRiis Healing Community in Mill Spring, NC is seeking a Residential/Support Staff member for part-time, direct care responsibilities. The role includes supervising recreational, social, and cultural activities and supporting residents in recovery plans.

The position requires a bachelor’s or equivalent experience, is 21+ with a valid license, and involves documentation, crisis support, and occasional transport on community trips. We offer a smoke-free facility and meal benefits on shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience working with adults with mental health challenges
• At least 21 years of age, current driver’s license, and acceptable driving record to be covered by company insurance

Responsibilities

• Helps lead recreational, social, and cultural activities
• Encourages participation and can facilitate other activities as needed for residents who aren’t participating in the planned activities
• Support residents in their recovery plans and goals
• Fill in for our Lodge Advisors as needed
• Provides support in crisis management
• Completing documentation
• Assists with procedures such as urine drug screens, breathalyzer, and medication administration
• Transports and accompanies residents on community-based trips, outings, reactional, social, and cultural activities
