The Resident Support Specialist (RSS) plays a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive community at Fernhurst, a residential program in Makiki serving women who are rebuilding their lives after significant challenges. Through a trauma-informed, person-centered, and culturally responsive approach, the RSS helps foster an environment where residents feel respected, supported, and empowered to move forward.
In this role, you will build positive, professional relationships with residents, encourage community engagement, and support adherence to shared expectations in ways that promote dignity, accountability, and respect. You will work closely with the case management team, sharing observations and information through strengths-based communication to help residents achieve their goals.
