Touchstone Mental Health in Minneapolis is seeking a Part-Time Resident Support Specialist for Community Housing Services. You will support residents in three housing programs, building relationships and promoting safety and stability in the community.

Responsibilities include de-escalation of crises, medication assistance as directed, social participation encouragement, and maintaining a clean, safe living environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to work at any of three Minneapolis locations.
• Ability to work shifts on short notice.
• Shift hours: 4:00pm–12:30am or 11:55pm–8:30am.

• Support cleanliness of common areas and bedrooms; complete housekeeping duties.
• Ensure residents and guests follow site guidelines to keep the facility safe and secure.
• Collaborate with other staff, consultants, interns and/or volunteers.

Resident Support Specialist

Starting Pay: $20.00

Location: Minneapolis

Schedule A: Weekend Schedule: Saturdays and Sundays, 4:00pm to 12:30am

Schedule B: Overnight Schedule: Sundays through Thursdays, 11:55pm to 8:30am

Schedule C: On-Call Schedule: Shifts are 4:00pm to 12:30am or 11:55pm to 8:30am

TMH’s Resident Support Specialist provides support to clients in our three supportive housing programs, all of which are located in Minneapolis, on short notice.

Resident Support Specialist Responsibilities:

• Establishes supportive and motivational relationships with residents.
• Observe residents for changes in health symptoms; perform behavioral management interventions; and de-escalate mental health crises.

Resident Support Specialist Requirements:

• Ability to work at any one of our three locations in Minneapolis
• Ability to work shifts on short notice
• Ability to work from 4:00pm to 12:30am OR from 11:55pm to 8:30am
• Previous experience supporting adults with mental illness, co-occurring disorders, and/or long-term homelessness preferred
