Job summary

Beacon Communities LLC is seeking a Resident Service Coordinator for Old Colony in Boston, MA. The role focuses on coordinating support services for residents, building relationships with local partners, and ensuring housing stability through on-site programs and one-on-one resident assistance.

Responsibilities include coordinating referrals, budgeting, communicating with residents, and documenting services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, public health, or community development or 3–5 years’ equivalent housing/community services experience.
• Experience with older adults, isolation, health and wellness, and social determinants of health.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and maintain housing stability for residents.

Responsibilities

• Assess and coordinate resident referrals and resources; connect residents with community services.
• Build relationships with residents and connect them with local resources.
• Develop partnerships with local organizations and implement community engagement initiatives.
• Assist residents at multifamily and senior properties to maintain independent living.
• Lead coordination of housing stabilization efforts, such as late rent or lease issues.
• Collaborate on program budgets reflecting resident needs and compliance.
• Handle outreach: assessments, newsletters, calendars, calls, and door-to-door outreach.
• Document services and outcomes using Beacon’s data systems.
• Track the property’s Community Engagement budget.
• Process Reasonable Accommodation requests for residents with disabilities.
