Job summary

VOAC is seeking a Service Coordinator to manage service provision and housing assistance for residents in the Affordable Housing Portfolio. The role supports seniors and disabled residents with trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and motivational interviewing, collaborating with the Community Administrator to enable independent living and aging in place.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, or related field.
• At least one year of experience with seniors or people with disabilities.
• Willing to obtain First Aid, AED, and CPR certifications.
• Background checks required within 30 days of hire.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Windows and databases.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents' voices are heard and involved in programming.
• Accept referrals and coordinate services with Community Administrator.
• Assess resident needs via surveys, visits, groups; maintain records.
• Coordinate services through HUD guidelines and VOAC policies.
• Develop partnerships to expand resources for residents.
• Attend trainings and meetings as required.
