Job summary

VOAC seeks a Service Coordinator to manage housing assistance and resident services for seniors and persons with disabilities in its affordable housing portfolio. You will conduct needs assessments, coordinate care, connect residents to benefits, and collaborate with partners to enhance wellbeing and independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, or closely related field or related experience.
• At least one full year of experience working with senior citizens and/or people with disabilities.
• Willing to obtain first aid, AED and CPR certifications and keep current.
• Criminal and civil background checks within 30 days of hire.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Proficient in using Windows and databases.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents' voices are heard and their ideas influence programming.
• Facilitate referrals from Community Administrator, family, service providers, and residents.
• Assess resident needs via surveys, visits, and meetings; document information.
• Deliver services using equity‑based modalities and tailor programs to residents.
