Job summary

Mutual Housing California seeks a Resident Service Coordinator to connect residents with housing stability, benefits, budgeting, referrals, and community programs. You will mediate crises, coordinate with Property Management, and foster resident leadership.

Hours are 30+ per week, Monday–Friday, in Sacramento; compensation is $23.00 per hour. Must have 1+ year in social services, pass background checks, and hold a valid driver's license; CPR/First Aid and food safety certs are provided.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in social services or property-based settings.
• Cultural competency and experience working in low-income communities.
• Strong communication, judgment, and relationship-building skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills; CPR/First Aid and food safety certs provided.
• Driver’s license required; background screening completed.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with housing stability, benefits, budgeting, and referrals.
• Provide mediation, crisis support, and coordination with Property Management.
• Build relationships with residents and host community-building activities.
• Connect residents with local programs, services, and leadership opportunities.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and service plans.

Location: Mutual Housing on the Boulevard - Sacramento, CA 95824

Job Summary:

Our Resident Services team connects Mutual Housing affordable housing residents with opportunity through a wide range of direct services and community building strategies. Resident Service Coordinators (RSCs) are responsible for providing a variety of services that promote these goals.

Responsibilities:

• Support residents with housing stability, public benefits, budgeting, and referrals
• Provide mediation, crisis support, and coordination with Property Management
• Build relationships with residents and host community‑building activities
• Connect residents with local programs, services, and leadership opportunities
• Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and service plans

Qualifications:

• 1+ year experience in social services (property‑based experience a plus)
• Cultural competency and experience working in diverse, low‑income communities
• Strong communication, judgment, and relationship‑building skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills; CPR/First Aid & food safety certs (provided)
• Driver’s license required
• Must pass criminal background screening, including education verification and DMV check
