Job summary

MMS Group in New York, NY is seeking an experienced Social Services Coordinator to provide information, referrals, and case management to residents of a 40- and 21-unit property. You will help residents access rent/utility assistance and connect to local resources to prevent notices and evictions.

The role focuses on outreach, developing relationships with community agencies, organizing resident activities, and maintaining resource materials.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of community organizing or social work.
• Knowledge of human services planning, sexual and domestic violence, and low-income communities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Resident Support: Orient new residents and assist with accessing rent/utility assistance and case management services.
• Network: Develop and maintain relationships with agencies serving low-income, elderly and disabled residents.
• Resourceful: Maintain information on referral resources and produce community resource documents.
• Coordinate: Plan and conduct social, educational, and community activities for residents.
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as outlined in the job description.
