Job summary

MMS Group seeks an experienced Social Services Coordinator for a 98-unit property in Statesboro, GA. You will help residents access rent/utility assistance, case management, and resources to prevent evictions, while coordinating outreach and community activities.

Responsibilities include building relationships with local agencies, assisting residents with employment/SSI/SSD, and maintaining up-to-date referral resources to promote housing stability and well-being.

Qualifications

• 2 years of community organizing or social work experience required.
• Knowledge of human service planning, sexual and domestic violence, and low-income communities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Orient new residents and assist with accessing rent/utility assistance, case management services, and other connections to resources needed to prevent notices and evictions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with agencies serving low-income, elderly and/or disabled individuals; work with local supportive service providers to help residents obtain income through employment, SSI, or SSD.
• Maintain information on referral resources and produce community resource documents.
• Plan, organize, and conduct social, educational, artistic, and other community-based activities for residents.
• Perform other duties as outlined in the job description.
